Loading External content
When trying to load external content from resources outside My.Seneca (including 3rd party applications such as Wimba), the content will be blocked unless it is hosted on a secure server (https://) or the link is set to open in a new window.
Please note this is not a Blackboard issue or bug, this is a security setting in web browsers.
You have to disable the web browser from blocking the content, but doing so will redirect you to My.Seneca home and will require you to navigate to the course content once again. This only has to be done once per session.
Each browser has a different solution
Disable the browser from blocking the content. On the top left of the window, within the URL area, you will find a shield like icon, this indicates content is getting blocked, disable the blocking of content for the page as shown below.
Enable the browser to display "all content". On the bottom fo the page you will find a yellow warning, informing you that content has been blocked, click on "show all content".
Enable loading of script. On the top right of the window, within the URL area, you will find a shield like icon, this indicates content is getting blocked. instruct the web browser to load the script.
