How to request for printer driver installation?

If you require the printer driver installed on a computer connected to the Seneca domain at the College, submit a request to the Service Desk for the installation.

Can I print a job and release it at any Xerox printer?

Yes, you can send a print job anywhere on the campus and release the print job at any Xerox printer at that appropriate campus.  In future, you will be able to send jobs from one campus to another.

What are the Print Queue Names at the appropriate campuses?

The print queue names are:

  • NewnhamPrinting_Xerox

  • MarkhamPrinting_Xerox

  • KingPrinting_Xerox

  • YorkPrinting_Xerox

How long does the print job(s) remain in queue?

Print job(s) remain in the queue for 2 hours (120 minutes)

How do I send a document to print from a desktop at the College?

  • You must log into a desktop at any campus with your Seneca username and password
  • Open the document for printing
  • Select the “printer queue” name appropriate to the campus
  • Select Print (print job will be sent and put into a print queue)

How do I release my queued print jobs at the campus?

  • You can go to any Xerox printer at the appropriate campus and release your print jobs.  At the Xerox:
  • Tap your Seneca OneCard on the black card reader located on the Xerox printer until you hear a beep
  • Enter your four-digit PIN  (Default PIN is 1234) – it is recommended you change your PIN (http://www.senecacollege.ca/onecard/account/pin.html)
  • Press Enter on screen
  • You will be prompted to release your queued print jobs:
  • Select  Yes to release all queued print jobs

NOTE:  You cannot delete a queued print job at the Xerox.  You must delete it from the desktop print queue.

How do I delete a queued print job?

  • You must log into a desktop at any campus with your Seneca username and password
  • Open the “printer queue” name appropriate to the campus
  • Select print job to be deleted and Cancel

NOTE

  • The print queue from the desktop will not display the document name.  It will display “ hidden” with client’s name next to it.
  • Every print job sent to the Xerox at the appropriate campus will be listed but “hidden” but client’s name is displayed who it belongs to.

How do I copy or scan at the Xerox printer?

At the Xerox:

  • Tap your Seneca OneCard on the black card reader located on the Xerox printer until you hear a beep
  • Enter your four-digit PIN  (Default PIN is 1234) – it is recommended to Change your PIN
  • Press Enter on screen
  • Firstname.Lastname (top right corner) logged in
  • Alternate is Seneca username and password
  • To change PIN (go to current website)

NOTE:  Changing your PIN number will take effect 15 minutes later
